The name given to the underground network of cities that is connected through a series of tunnels occupied by the Drow race. Not many citizens know that the Capital City is situated under the Golden Desert and connects to smaller cities all throughout Lesia.
The topmost layer, whose ancient bladed walls stretch forth from the top of the plateau, is a densely packed center called the Last City. It was here that the drow first cowered from the darkness in their original flight from the surface into the Under Web. Now the wealthiest and most powerful non-nobles, artisans and decadent performers call this district of the city home. The topless tower reaches into the vast openness of the cavern from the westernmost edge, which serves as the seat of the city's ruling council. There are many other layers going deep underground.
The Greater Noble families of Drow are constantly fighting to gain power and replace and become the leader or the Matron Mother. Drow society is female dominated and female led.
Cruel and cunning, Drow are a dark reflection of the elven race. Also called dark elves, they dwell deep underground in elaborate cities shaped from the rock of cyclopean caverns. Drow seldom make themselves known to surface folk, preferring to remain legends while advancing their sinister agendas through proxies and agents. Drow have no love for anyone but themselves, and are adept at manipulating other creatures. While they are not born evil, malignancy is deep-rooted in their culture and society, and nonconformists rarely survive for long. Some stories tell that given the right circumstances, a particularly hateful elf might turn into a drow, though such a transformation would require a truly heinous individual.
Known for kidnapped Princess Xaya at a young age and corrupting her mind to fight against the Kingdom of Lesia and her former family.
