This Skill lets you activate a Focus Magical item so that it performs the Focus effect it was designed for. These items can range from simple Symbols or scrolls which store a Focus Magic spell, to Wands which can move people to another realm of existence.
To activate an item, you must spend a few seconds concentrating on it, and then use the relevant activation action for the item. Activation actions can be pointing for a wand, reading a scroll or speaking a command word, each Focus item can be different.
Certain items such as Focus Symbols have a limited number of uses before being rendered useless. Other items you can use repeatedly but they need to be de-activated when you aren’t using them. This is not always necessary as there are some items which you can only use a certain number of times in a day and these items de-activate themselves automatically after being used.
This Skill lets you activate an Inherent Magical item so that if performs the Inherent effect it was designed for. These items can range from simple talismans or scrolls which store an Inherent Magic spell, to weapons that can destroy undead with one blow.

This Skill enables you to increase the range of certain Magic Spells by twenty feet. Using this Skill means that the Power cost of casting the Spell is increased by half as much as it normally does, rounding up all fractions to the nearest whole number.
To use this Skill, you must cast the Spell as normal but add the words, “MAGIC RANGE!”, to the vocals. Only Spells that have a range component greater than touch can be increased in this manner.
The area of effect of a spell is not increased, only the range to the target.
This Skill enables you to hide one of your Spiritual and/or one of your Focussed spell lists from both Spiritual and Focussed senses, discerns or scrying spells such as the Enquiry Spells.
To invoke this power the user just needs to pick one Focussed spell list and/or one Spiritual spell list that they currently know and then if they are ever under a Discern Spirits, Sense Magic or scrying spell which would determine their lists then the chosen list(s) are not revealed. They may change the chosen lists by concentrating for 30s, typically by meditating.
This skill is most effective for casters who want to hide their knowledge of the General Good, Neutral or Evil spell lists, but any caster may make use of this skill. Players using this skill must inform the Referee which lists they are masking.
With this skill you can convert a spell on the below list into an area effect spell either centred around the caster (if the original spell was a touch spell) or at the end of a 20' range (if the original spell had a 20' range). There is an increased cost in Power to three times the original cost of the spell.
