Population: 3100 (90% Human, 5% Elf, 5% Dwarf)
Recently rebuilt to its former glory commissioned and overseen by Queen Viola, this is a small port town and still have a lot of vacant homes. Its central Pride is a Cathedral to the Three Dragons with beautiful stained-glass windows. A new school opened to teach a variety of skills to those wanting to join the adventuring life and to service to Crown. As well as a large orphanage opened by Queen Viola herself.
Portlet is currently the main site of the political Lesian infrastructure. There are two layers of curtain walls protecting the keep and inner town, but most of the town has expanded well outside the town’s original defences. A third wall made of wood protects the buildings that have spilled out of the inner town. Portlet if famous for its extensive pig farms, the market square ‘New Market II’, the butcher’s shop ‘Porklet’, and the Sweetwater Tavern.
Ongoing threats to Portlet are the ever-present Willow Wood animals, the Willow Wood Dark Fey, Orcs bandits from Uruk-Tor, Harpies from Hark-Korbin, and Sea monster attacking the port and it’s ships.
The Sweetwater Tavern is a favourite hangout for adventurers and sits on the main road from Portlet on the edge of Willow Wood.
Built on the ruins of the Orc town Porklet, which was built on the ruins of New Market. Portlet is built on Sweetwater Bay side of the Plienmont Ridge Peninsula. Situated near Peril Point, the port makes a useful stop off when bad weather makes the sea rout ahead treacherous. The town sits at the foot of a small peninsula attached to the much larger Plienmont Ridge Peninsula. The smaller peninsula is blocked to some extent by the town, which makes the peninsula a fairly safe place to farm. The town itself is not in a very defendable position, but it is out of the way which makes it less likely to get attacked. The only road to the town is long and winding, as it has to traverse the edge of the Plienmont ridge. The road continues deep into Willow wood, which is full of dark-fey and aggressive animals. The nearest settlements are the safe-haven of Solace, and the Dragon's Keep.
