An old Fort found in the northern end of Lesia. There is a winding road that leads up to the fort which stands on a hill able to see a large amount of the surrounding countryside and send aid to any travelers that move within it's borders. These days the fort is manned by rangers and scouts that are looking for that sense of adventure but with the safety of stone walls to fall back on as well as training from the Master Ranger that is the current keeper of the fort. It also houses the only roosting nests for the Griffins. These majestic creatures are kept and trained in the grounds of Ragnorock. The Griffin Riders are called upon to provide the eyes of the kingdom out in the wilds of the lands as well as provide the odd mail run from the different cities.
Ragnerock was originally a large outcropping of rock where ancient druidic rangers found a mysterious black monolith. The rangers built a sealing stone circle around the monolith, believing it to be an omen of doom. They guarded the site and named it Ragnerock. Ragnerock in their language meant both Ranger-Rock, and Pathway-of-the-End. In a later age the site gained strategic importance and became fortified. The wooden keep was built on the large rocky outcropping, directly on top of the stone circle and the doom stone. The keep was eventually struck by lightning and burnt down, so a new stone keep was built in its place. The stone circle became part of the keep’s foundations and the doom stone was forgotten. Eventually keep and it’s surrounding city fell. When the site was liberated from goblins in the first year of King Kai’s reign. The doom stone was rediscovered but its purpose is still unknown. The monolith is covered in engravings, but if there is any message contained in the markings it has yet to be deciphered. The keep was restored during the Exodus, and most of the surrounding city was built during the 25-year month of King Kai’s first year of rule.
The fort has weathered off attacks from Reapers remaining strong even the face of these adversaries and it remains a beacon in the wilderness of Lesia. The Master of the Fort has blocked any access to the stone till such a time as someone presents him with proof it isn't dangerous. Recently a large ritual took part there which has cleansed the Doomstone, but not much information has been given publicly specifically about the Doomstone.
Over the last decade, many dangers and wars has caused the small Fort town to become a city with another ring around the original structure with inhabitants joining the quaint town.
The Master of the Fort is Sir Jarred.
