In a sad tragedy the Magus Town was destroyed in a freak magical accident. The explosion is being investigated by the Crown and the Talon Guild. The town previously held a powerful mage Renholder that ran the town, many mages came for their private studies or to explore the natural magic that runs through the land. Set on a crossroad of ley lines, many rituals and powering items and artifacts were done here.
Tor Arcana was an entire city in a single tower complex. The base, or lower levels of the tower are a singe immense pentagonal structure. At the top of the base are 5 courtyards. Rising around the courtyards are long buildings that wall-off the courtyards, large towers from each corner of the pentagon, and tower in the centre. These structures form the middle tower where the six towers are joined by connecting buildings and bridges. The upper tower consists of the same six towers a huge rising vertically unconnected, with the centre tower rising high into the clouds. The tower is built a very steep mountain, so all the expansion was done vertically. The tower was loosely divided into sections, though many of the sections overlap. The main ones were: The Lower Levels, also referred to as the base, or the basement contain industrial equipment, magical power sources, and Public Event halls. The Mid-Levels contained the School of magic (boarding school for children), and general housing. The Upper levels contained an Arcane University.
The city was obviously built by mages, for mages, but there are no records of who actually built it. The tower’s design is similar enough to that of the Umbra Tower to suggest that they both had the same creator(s). A bubble-like shield of force protects the complex. The area inside the bubble remains temperate throughout the year even through the tower is in the mountains and surrounded by snow.
