The adventures of Tol Galen are set in the fictional land of Lesia, a large island surrounded by seas. Geographically, the outline of Lesia bears substantial similarity to the island of Guernsey, where the LARP group is based, but Lesia is much larger and closer to the size of Great Britain.
The larger island is called Lesia, while the smaller island at it's Northern peak is Sarnia. Lesia is ruled by a Human Kingdom, but is called home to many other races. The most common civilized races are Elves and Dwarves, but there are many other races friendly to humans, as well as many less friendly to humanity, from the numerous Uruk tribes of Orcs & Goblins to more dangerous beings such as Werewolves, Demons and Undead to name but a few.
Lesia is ruled by King Xavier, First of his Name with his wife Queen Viola. Each town and city follows the King, but they are given reasonable freedom with regards to running their own affairs and are responsible for their own Militia.
His father Lord Kai, who is married to the Lady Cloud, has recently abdicated the throne and retired to Serk with his Order.
His sister the Princess Xaya has passed away giving her life to save the land and it's citizens.
King Xavier and Queen Viola of Orlaine has twinned children Athos and Athena, as well as King Xavier’s daughter from Wedlock Alison Willow.

There are 4 main Guilds of Lesia, powerful organizations to which most adventurers belong. The Leaders of the Guilds answer directly to the Crown and make up the Guild Council, who advise and guide the King. Each guild has different region of interest, and they form pillars of the community within the Kingdom of Lesia.

The Kingdom of Orlaine is far to the East of Lesia, approximately a month's travel by boat, and is on relatively friendly terms with Lesia. Orlaine is a fictional land which is home to the adventures of Legend Jersey, a sister group to Tol Galen which use the same rules and system as Tol Galen.
While there are a few differences in the rules and play style of the groups, players (and their characters) often travel between both groups and play on the same adventures together.

The Kingdom of Casteel is home to another LARP group based in Manchester, who originally founded the system used by both the Tol Galen and Legend Jersey groups. The Manchester Group do not play as often as either the Guernsey or the Jersey groups, and the land of Casteel is largely held to be pacified and relatively peaceful.
That said, Casteel lies about a month away from Lesia by boat to the North, and both Players and Characters can travel between.
The Manchester Group do not currently have a website.
Khesh is a fictional desert land far to the West of Lesia. While Lesia has trade routes which stretch as far a Khesh, few ever travel to these distant lands and little is known beyond rumours and myths, though there are some adventurers who claim to be from the region. If Lesia, Orlaine and Casteel can be described as a medieval arthurian/feudal cultures, Khesh would mirror the Eqyptian, Greek or Arabic myths and folklores.
Darkovia is a fictional land far to the South of Lesia. Known as the Homeland of Vampires, and having housed the Voyagich Vampires and other dark creatures. The people are hardened and used to living in harsh conditions but have a lot of wisdom to give. Following the other countries they can be described as having an Eastern European, Transylvanian culture.
